Alan Botsford Saitoh, a Japan-based American poet, has authored two books of poetrymamaist: Learning a New Language and A Book of Shadows. His book of essays and poems, Walt Whitman of Cosmic Folklore, is forthcoming in 2010 from Sage Hill Press. A Pushcart nominee, his poems have appeared in River Styx, Yemassee Literary Journal, and Mickle Street Review, among others. He teaches at Kanto Gakuin University where he co-edits Poetry Kanto.
