Dallas Lee is a writer with a career in various newsrooms (primarily The Associated Press and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution) and as a speechwriter and scriptwriter. His poetry has appered in The Cortland Review, The Boiler Literary Journal, Starry Night Review, Connotation Press, Mixtini Matrix and Reach of Song (Georgia Poetry Socitey Anthology 2013). He is the author of The Cotton Patch Evidence: The Story of Clarence Jordan and the Koinonia Farm Experiment (Harper & Row).

it's we rushing down
the Ark's gangplank crying At last! At last!
eager for futures
while fellow creatures
pause lift snouts breathe
